Refer to your Ripple Payments ODL contract for specific terms applicable to your funding method and timelines, invoicing, and other applicable terms related to your access to Ripple Payments ODL and reach out to your Ripple liaison for any questions.
Ripple currently offers the following funding methods:
With the Wallet Funding method, you fund your payments by depositing funds to your own stablecoin wallet. Compared to the T+1 Invoicing method, Wallet Funding lets you onboard faster and process volumes over Ripple Payments without being limited by credit underwriting and credit limits.
Funding methods comparison
The following table compares the Wallet Funding method with the T+1 Invoicing method. The availability of these funding methods is subject to completion of Ripple’s onboarding process and shall be determined by Ripple.
Wallet Funding | T+1 Invoicing | |
---|---|---|
Funding timing | The customer funds their payment(s) in stablecoin before making a transaction. | Ripple issues an invoice for payments executed during the previous business day. The customer makes a same-day payment to Ripple. |
Funding method | The customer deposits funds to their own sender wallet. | The customer can make payments (subject to credit limits) as long as they pay outstanding invoices in a timely manner. |
