# Sui

Executive summary
**Ripple Custody custodies SUI and Sui coins, such as Circle's native USDC, with the same accounts, policies, and transaction lifecycle that you use on other ledgers.**

- You receive, hold, quarantine, release, and send native SUI and fungible Sui coins, including regulated coins that have an on-chain deny list.
- Each account has an Ed25519 key in your vault, and a Sui address that Ripple Custody derives from it.
- The vault builds every Sui transaction itself from the approved order, and signs only the bytes that it serializes.
- Every transaction has an expiration epoch, so a transaction that can't complete expires cleanly instead of getting stuck. You can set the validity window from 1 to 14 epochs, to fit cold vault signing and long approval flows.
- Sui support is available through the API, for SaaS and on-premises deployments.

API only
In this release, manage Sui through the Ripple Custody API. The UI can show Sui assets, but Sui operations don't work correctly in the UI yet. Don't use the UI for Sui.

## What you can do

| Capability | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Custody Sui accounts | Create accounts on a Sui ledger. Ripple Custody holds each account's Ed25519 key in your vault's HSM or KMS backend. |
| Hold SUI and Sui coins | Hold native SUI and fungible Sui coins: legacy `Coin<T>` coins, Currency Standard coins, and regulated coins. |
| Receive assets | Ripple Custody detects every incoming transfer to your addresses and quarantines it, like on other ledgers. |
| Send assets | Send SUI and Sui coins, subject to your Ripple Custody policies and approvals. |
| Respect deny lists | Ripple Custody checks the recipient against a regulated coin's deny list before it builds the transaction, and refuses the transfer if the coin's issuer has denied the recipient. |
| Set the validity window | Set how many epochs a transaction stays valid, from 1 to 14, to fit long approval flows and cold vault signing. |
| View balances and history | View balances and transaction history through the standard Ripple Custody API operations. |
