# Devices Devices in Wallet-as-a-Service (Palisade) are used to secure private key shares, approve transactions, and generate signatures. They are essential for securing and using MPC wallets and are optional for approvals. ## Overview When a user makes a transaction requiring an MPC quorum signature, the relevant device(s) receive a notification requesting that the user sign.
