How US rails are selected

ACH and RTP are both delivered through the single US_ACH financial instrument. RTP is used when the beneficiary's routing number is RTP-enabled; otherwise the payment automatically falls back to ACH. You don't select ACH or RTP directly — routing is automatic based on the beneficiary bank's capabilities. Fedwire is a separate instrument (US_FEDWIRE) for high-value transfers.
