# Ripple Custody 1.18 (Feb 17, 2025)

Version 1.18 is a SaaS release and introduces an integration for the TRON distributed ledger.

Note:
If you are migrating to this version from version 1.14 or earlier, you must complete Steps 1, 2, and 3 in the [Custody v1.15 migration guide](/products/custody/v1.36/support/change-history/migration-guide-v115) to migrate all user entries to the new format needed for SSO integration.

## TRON integration

TRON is a public blockchain platform that is open-source, account-based, and supports smart contracts. TRON is compatible with Ethereum, which means that you can migrate smart contracts on Ethereum to TRON directly or with minor modifications. The TRON network provides higher TPS compared to Ethereum by using the DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) consensus mechanism.

Version 1.18 of Ripple Custody introduces integration of the TRON blockchain, with full support for account creation and regular transactions for both the native TRX (Tronix) cryptocurrency and TRC-20 fungible tokens.

## Distribution and deployment

The 1.18 version will be progressively deployed across SaaS environments starting on February 17, 2025 with production environments scheduled for deployment on March 3, 2025.
