Ripple Custody provides a simplified workflow to invite new users to the platform. This workflow automates the step where the new user communicates their public key.

You cannot use this user creation method for bots. To create a new bot user, follow the steps in Create users instead.

Invite a user

To invite a new user:

  1. Navigate to Administration > Users.

  2. Click Invite a user at the top right.

  3. Enter the user details and click Create the invitation.

  4. Share the invitation with the user:

    1. Check the option to indicate the invitation is send, and then click Finish.
    2. In the Pending users tab, click Copy URL to share and send it to the user.

    The new user uses the URL to access a guided workflow to download the authenticator app and create a profile.

    The app communicates the public key back to the Ripple Custody UI. When the public key updates successfully, the invitation status green.

  5. In the Pending users tab, expand the user row.

  6. Click Submit for approval and sign the operation with the app.

The new user is created when the intent is successfully executed.
