# Ledger-specific account settings

Before you can perform certain transactions with Hedera, Tezos, and Stellar accounts, you need to update some account settings.
There are also some optional account settings you can set for XRPL accounts. All of these settings updates involve the creation of a transaction.

The settings include:

- Hedera and Stellar: Account initialization, required for blockchain transactions.
- Tezos: Reveal of the account public key on the ledger, required for blockchain transactions.
- XRPL: Optional account settings for trading tokens and XRP.
