# Ripple Custody 1.11 (February 23, 2024)

Version 1.11 introduces the following new features:

- [Beta release: Single sign-on (SSO)](#single-sign-on-sso)
- Additional platform enhancements:
  - [Support for the Ethereum Holesky testnet](#support-for-the-ethereum-holesky-testnet)
  - [Bitcoin transaction address](#bitcoin-transaction-address)

For information about distribution and deployment of this version, see [Distribution and deployment](#distribution-and-deployment).

## Single sign-on (SSO)

This version includes a limited SSO feature release. You can configure external identity providers, such as Azure Active Directory, for users to log in to Ripple Custody.

SSO is currently available to customers with a new installation only. There is no migration path available for existing customers in this release.

For more information, contact the Ripple support team.

## Support for the Ethereum Holesky testnet

Due to the deprecation of Goerli, Ripple Custody now fully supports the Ethereum Holesky testnet. This is on top of the already supported Sepolia network.

Holesky is Ethereum's latest public testnet designed for comprehensive staking and protocol developer testing. With a focus on security, it incorporates advanced cryptographic techniques and upgraded consensus algorithms. By adopting a proof-of-stake mechanism, it aims to increase the number of validators while reducing energy consumption. Holesky also emphasizes interoperability with other blockchains, enhancing Ethereum's collaboration and utility.

## Bitcoin transaction address

For improved security, within the Ripple Custody UI, the resolved address for a transaction to a Bitcoin Account destination has been changed from the newest generated address to the oldest generated address. The latter is part of the Ripple Custody Merkle tree, further improving the security of the transaction.

## Distribution and deployment

### Ripple Cloud

The upgrade will be done progressively starting on **19/02/2024** across the various environments. The production environment will be upgraded last, with a deployment planned on **04/03/2024**. This may be delayed, based on customer feedback.

### On-premise

Version 1.11 will be available for our on-premise customers to download and install from **23/02/2023**. The usual process of pulling the containers from Ripple's repository using the “1.11.0” tag applies.

As with all new releases, this version triggers the deprecation of the previous version (v.1.10.x), which will continue to be supported for the next 6 months, unless specified otherwise in the master contract with Ripple. For more information about Ripple Custody versioning, see [Versioning and release management](/products/custody/v1.15/support/release-management).

To ensure you stay up-to-date with the latest API deprecations, end of support for previous versions, and how this might affect your operating model, remember to regularly visit the [Versioning and release management](/products/custody/v1.15/support/release-management) page.
