## Custody

### Multi-ledger account capacity

Starting with this version, every new account will be generated on all ledgers enabled in Harmonize.

N.B. For accounts that already exist in the system, or if a ledger is later added to Harmonize, a specific migration (using an internal API) is required.

### Integration of EIP 1559 on ETH

We support the new transaction type of Ethereum proposed by the EIP1559 in the London Upgrade, enabling improved fee management for Ethereum transactions. The same support is extended to all compatible EVM-based chains.

*N.B. This is now the default model used by the “priority strategy”.*

### Added ability to deploy smart contracts

Harmonize is now able to perform transactions that deploy smart contracts on Ethereum based-chain, provided the user has access to the contract bytecode. This allow direct control of new smart contract creation with appropriate ownership and governance. This capacity is available both on the UI & the API.

### User key support

User keys are not limited to secp256r1 anymore, so as a user you can now also choose secp256k1 or ed25519 curve for signing requests for harmonize.

### Thales BIP-32

We have added official support for BIP-32 derivation on Thales HSM for new account creations. The random account generation option remains available.

### Events API

The API provides new ordering capacity so that a call to events can now return the latest event first.

## Interactive

### New visual identity & cleaning of the UI

Metaco has recently changed its corporate identity and launched its new website. As a result, several changes have been made to Harmonize to reflect this evolution and enhance your experience.

One of the main changes has been the introduction of new graphics and colors on the login page, which align with the new branding. In addition to the visual changes, the onboarding experience for new users has also been improved. The process has been made more intuitive, reducing the time and effort needed to start using the product.

Finally, the modal windows have been 'cleaned up' to remove any unnecessary clutter or distractions that could detract from your experience. The result is a simplified, more focused and easier to use interface.

We hope you'll enjoy it and and will be happy to listen to your feedback.

### Added more filters, sorting and search bars

To give you more readability in the Harmonize tables, we have added new possibilities to filter the information. This is a first iteration and we plan to further develop this theme during 2023.

### Email notifications

In this new version, we introduce the possibility to receive email notifications for each operation done on the domains where you have read rights. To configure this option, you just have to go to your user preferences and set it up. In this section you will also find the version number of Harmonize you are using.

*N.B. The Email notification setting is only available on the UI.*

### Transfer order on the Web App

New simplified way to transfer funds is now available through the Harmonize web application. You have now the possibility to use transfer order for quick and simple operations, while still use the transaction order for more sophisticated interactions with the blockchain.

### Sign manifest visualization

You had already discovered the sign manifest operations on the API side in release 1.7. With 1.8 you are now able to visualize and access signed manifests from within the account page.

### Automatic logout

To increase the security of your environment and after an initial warning message that appears after 10 minutes, we automatically log you out of your Harmonize session. A button will redirect you to the Login page.

### Wallet Connect message signing for dApps

Our web3 connector can now leverage the sign manifest operation when the dApps are requesting an EIP-191 type signature.

## Blockchain

### Algorand

Algorand "hosts" Algo, the crypto-currency and token of its blockchain.
This network is intended to be accessible to all, which is why no authorization is required. And this accessibility makes it possible to remove any barrier in the use and evolution of its protocol, in order to guarantee a high level of decentralization, but also of scalability, speed and security. All this with very low commission fees.
Algorand is an account based blockchain using pure proof-of-stake and a voting mechanism to validate blocks, forking is impossible. Algorand is completely open and permissionless, anyone who owns native asset can participate in consensus. On Algorand, blocks are produced every 3.9 seconds and can hold up to 25'000 transactions, which results in a throughput of about 6'000 transactions per second (6'000 TPS). We now support the transfer of native asset on Algorand called ALGO.
