# Ripple Custody 1.31 (February 13, 2025)

Version 1.31 is a SaaS release that introduces two new Ripple Custody features:

- Token Management with Allowlist-Only visibility
- Multi-Purpose Token (MPT) holder operations

## Token Management system

Ripple Custody Version 1.31 introduces a new Token Management system that replaces the previous Assets screen. The key change is an **Allowlist-Only visibility model** that protects operators from spam and scam tokens.

In the new model, tokens are classified into three states:

- **Allowlisted** — Validated and visible in all UI views
- **Unclassified** — Auto-discovered tokens hidden until reviewed
- **Denylisted** — Blocked tokens that are never visible

This approach ensures that only tokens you explicitly approve appear in balances, transactions, and other operational views. When a new token is detected from an incoming transaction, it remains hidden in the Unclassified tab until an administrator reviews and allowlists it.

### Key benefits

- **Anti-spam protection** — Unwanted tokens deposited to custody addresses are automatically hidden
- **Bulk operations** — Allowlist or denylist multiple tokens at once
- **Tab-based navigation** — Easily switch between Allowlisted, Unclassified, and Denylisted views
- **Search and filter** — Find tokens by name, symbol, ledger, or token kind

After upgrading, unclassified tokens will be hidden from standard views. Review the Unclassified tab promptly to ensure you don't miss any legitimate tokens.

## Multi-Purpose Token (MPT) holder operations

Ripple Custody Version 1.31 introduces support for Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs) on the XRP Ledger. MPTs are a new form of fungible token designed for greater efficiency and institutional use cases.

This release supports holder operations, allowing custody clients to:

- **Authorize** — Opt-in to hold a specific MPT issuance
- **Receive** — Accept incoming MPT payments
- **Send** — Transfer MPTs to other authorized holders
- **Track balances** — View MPT balances with correct decimal handling

MPTs use a 192-bit Issuance ID (48-character hex string) and support configurable decimal precision via the AssetScale property. Ripple Custody automatically creates tickers when MPT payments are received.
